SoCal QB has it all

Quarterback Cody Fajardo (6-2, 197, 4.7) from Anaheim (Calif.) Servite just led his team to a California State championship. It wasn't an easy road as Servite had to overcome obstacles along the way, but through it all Fajardo kept things together providing poise and leadership throughout Servite's championship season.

"Cody's leadership is unbelievable," Servite head coach Troy Thomas said. "When it was crunch time, he took the team on his back and carried us.

"I think the guys rallied around him," Thomas said. "Because he was so positive and he believed it was going to happen that everyone just performed.

"We had to make a bunch of crucial drives during our playoff run to get it done," Thomas said. "Against Long Beach (Calif.) Poly, we had to go down and score at the end and against Mission Viejo, Calif., we had to make a drive at the end and obviously Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison was a big game for him and taking us down at the end of the state game, too.
